a + b = 460 \: equation \: (1) \\ \frac{3}{4} \times a = \frac{2}{5} \times b \\ \frac{a}{b} = \frac{8}{15} \\ \\ put \: value \: of \: a \: and \: b \: in \: equation \: 1 \\ 8x + 15x = 460 \\ 23x = 460 \\ x = 20 \\ a = 160 \: \: \: b = 300 \\ then \: b \: have \: to \: give \: 70 \: coins \: then \: each \: of \: them \: have \: 230 \: coins
