Here is your answer

A investment is 1/4 of b

So If there is Loss in business than loss is also 1/4 of B
Let the Loss of B is x
ATQ
 x+ \frac{x}{4} = 500 \\ \frac{4x + x}{4} = 500 \\ \frac{5x}{4} = 500 \\ x = \frac{500 \times 4}{5} \\ x = 400

So The Loss of B is Rs 400

Loss of A is 400/4 = Rs 100
