a investment is Rs 30000
b investment is Rs 40000

Ratio of a and b is 30000/40000
= 3/4
Hence their Profit is also divide in the ratio of 3/4
They earned = Rs 7700

So b's profit = 7700 x 4/7
 = \frac{7700 \times 4}{7} \\ = 1100 \times 4 \\ = 4400 \: rupees
