Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Speed of current be, V;

While speeds of Boats of A & B are U1 and U2 respectively.

Downstream speed of A: (U1+V)

Upstream speed of A: (U1-V)

Upstream speed of B: (U2-V)

In first 15 minutes total distance covered by them:

15/60[ (U1+V) + (U2-V) ] = 2.5 km

U1+U2= 10;

In next 15 minutes total distance = 3.5-2.5= 1 Km

15/60 [ (U1-V) + (U2-V) ]= 1 Km

U1 + U2 -2V = 4

10 - 2V = 4

V = 3 kmph.
