Given :- A and B salaries are in the ratio of (3, 4) . If both of there salaries are increased by Rs 20000 each, the new ratio becomes (4,5) .

To Find :-

  • What is B's present salary ?

Answer :-

Let us assume that,

  • A salary = 3x
  • B salary = 4x .

salary is increased by Rs 20000.

so, A/q,

→ (3x + 20000) / (4x + 20000) = 4/5

→ 15x + 100000 = 16x + 80000

→ 16x - 15x = 20000

→ x = 20000

then,

→ B's present salary = 4x = 4 * 20000 = Rs.100000 (Ans.)
