A and B salaries are in the ratio of (3, 4)
If both of there salaries are increased by Rs 20000 each, the new ratio becomes (4, 4.5).

We then have:

4 : 4.5 = 40 : 45

Try to reduce the ratio further with the greatest common factor (GCF).

The GCF of 40 and 45 is 5

Divide both terms by the GCF, 5:

40 ÷ 5 = 8

45 ÷ 5 = 9

The ratio 40 : 45 can be reduced to lowest terms by dividing both terms by the GCF = 5 :

40 : 45 = 8 : 9

Therefore:

4 : 4.5 = 8 : 9

A Salary increased by -9411.7647059

B Salary increased by- 10588.2352941
