A and B throw a pair of dice.If throws 9,find B's chance of throwing a higher number.Please explain it​

2 dice r thrown

probability of total outcomes is 36

and in dice B big number is 6

=Number of favorable outcome/

Number of all possible outcomes of the event

so,=6/36 =1/6

the numbers that B can get higher than A are: 10, 11 and 12

Now,

Total number of possible outcomes is 11(2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12....since a pair of dice cannot have 1 as an outcome)

And no. of favourable outcomes is 3,i.e, 10,11 and 12

So chances of B getting a higher number is = 3/11
