Answer:

Total wages of A and C is Rs. 14000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total wages of A, B and C is Rs. W

A and B are supposed to do 13/15 of the work. So they together receive wages of Rs. 13W/15. Then

A + B = 13W/15 ..... (1)

B and C are supposed to do 11/20 of the work. So they together receive wages of Rs. 11W/20. Then

B + C = 11W/20 ..... (2)

By the given condition, the difference of wages of A and C = Rs. 7600

Then A - C = 7600 ..... (3)

or, (A + B) - (B + C) = 7600

or, 13W/15 - 11W/20 = 7600, by (1) and (2)

or, 19W/60 = 7600

or, W = 60 * 7600 / 19

or, W = 24000

We have taken

A + B + C = W

or, 13W/15 + C = W, by (1)

or, C = W - 13W/15

or, C = 2W/15

or, C = (2 * 24000)/15

or, C = 3200

Thus C receives wage of Rs. 3200

From (3), we get

A - 3200 = 7600

or, A = 7600 + 3200

or, A = 10800

Thus A receives wage of Rs. 10800

Therefore the total wages of A and C is

= Rs. (10800 + 3200)

= Rs. 14000
