Answer:

A+B=1/16

B+C=1/20

A=2C

A+B-B-C=1/16-1/20

A-C=1/80

2C-C=1/80

C=1/80

B+C=1/20

B=1/20-1/80=3/80

Given : A and B together can do a certain work m 16 days, whereas B and C together in 20 days and  A is twice as good a workman as C,

To Find : B alone can do the same work in how many days

Solution:

A   can do work in A Days

B  can do work on B days

C can do work in 2A  Days   ∵A is twice as good a workman as C,

1/A  + 1/B = 1/16

1/B + 1/2A  = 1/20

=> 1/A  - 1/2A  = 1/16 - 1/20

=> 1/2A  = 1/80

=> A = 40

1/40 + 1/B = 1/16

=> 1/B = 3/80

=> B = 80/3

B alone can finish work in 80/3 Days

B alone can do the same work in 80/3 days
