A and b together can do a piece of work in 15 days. if a 's one day work is one whole one upon two times the one day's work of b find in how many days can each do the work

Let 1 day work of B = x

A 1 day work = 1 1/2 of B = 3/2 of x = 1.5 x


Their 1 day work together is,

1/1.5x + 1/x = 1/15

(1 + 1.5) / 1.5x = 1/15

2.5/1.5x = 1/15

5/3x = 1/15

3x = 75

x = 25


So B can do it in 25 days and A can do it in 37 1/2 days
