a and b together can do a piece of work in 42 days .b and c together work in 24 days .a start the work on uts 6 days and leaves .then b takeup wotk for 18 days and leaves .finally c alone finishes the remaining work in 22 days .find the number of day c alone can
do the work.​

As efficiency×time =work

Let total work be 40 units

As A+B+C completed the whole work in 40 days

So efficiency of A+B+C =1

Now they work for 16 days so they completed 16 units of work

Total work remaining =40-16=24 units

This work is finished by B+C in 40 days

B+C efficiency =24/40=3/5 units

So A effiency =1-3/5=2/5 units

So A completed the whole work alone in 40÷2/5=100 days
