A and B together can do a piece of work in 6 days. If A's one day's work be 1and half times the
one day's work of B, find in how many days, each alone can finish the work.​

Now, in 1 day they would do = 1/6th work

Now let the work done by A in 1 day be x

Therefore in 1 day B does x/2 work

Therefore, x+x/2=1/6

or 2x+x=2/6

or 3x=2/6

or x=1/9

Therefore A does 1/9th work in=1day

Hence A does 1 work in =1÷1/9 day

=9 days.

Now since B does x/2 work in 1 day, he will do the work in=9*2 days

=18 days
