Answer:

4.25 days

Explanation:

Let’s just assume the amount received by “A” to be x and “B” to be y.

So

x + y = 350

x = y + 150

on deduction, x = 250 and y = 100. So A works 2.5 times faster than B. (Equation - 1)

Now lets Assume A takes x days and B takes y days to finish the work individually.

y = x + 9 (Equation 2)

In a given day A finishes 1/x of the total work and B finished 1/y of the total work.

From Equation 1:

1/x = 5/2y

2y = 5x

y = 2.5 x

substituting in Equation 2 :

2.5 x = x + 9

1.5 x = 9

x = 6 days

y = 15 days

Now both of them together would do 1/6 + 1/15 of the total work in one day.

5/30 + 2/30 ==> 7/30

so they would take approximately 30/7 (4.25 days) to finish the work.

wat to lern about;  a,b and c can do a piece of work in 30,40 and 50 days respectively.they all compelete the work recieve ₹1128 find the share of each
