Explanation:

Old Ratio :

A : B = 3 : 2

  • A = 3/5
  • B = 2/5

They admitted C for 3/7

Which he took 2/7 from A and 1/7 from B

  • A Sacrifice = 2/7
  • B Sacrifice = 1/7

New profit sharing ratio :

New Share of A =

= 3/5 - 2/7 = (21-10)/35

= 11/35

New Share of B =

= 2/5 - 1/7 = (14-5)/35

= 9/35

C's Share =

= 3/7 = 15/35

New profit sharing ratio :

A : B : C = 11/35 : 9/35 : 15/35

= 11:9:15

Hence, New profit sharing ratio = A,B and C = 11 : 9 : 15

Given :-

 \sf \: Old \: Ratio = 3: 2 \: or \:  \dfrac{3}{5}  :  \dfrac{2}{5}

 \sf \: C \: Admitted \: for  \: \dfrac{3}{7} th \: share \: in \: the \: new \: firm

 \sf \: A’s sacrifice =  \dfrac{2}{7}  => B’s sacrifice =  \dfrac{1}{7}

To find :-

  • Calculate new profit sharing ratio ?

Formula :-

 \sf \: New \: Ratio = Old \: Ratio – Sacrificing \: Ratio

Solution :-

 \underline{\pink{\: \implies}\sf \: A =  \dfrac{3}{5} -  \dfrac{2}{7}  =  \dfrac{21 - 10}{35} =  \dfrac{11}{35}}

\underline{\pink{\: \implies}\sf \: B =  \dfrac{2}{5} -  \dfrac{1}{7}  =  \dfrac{14 - 5}{35} =  \dfrac{9}{35}}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \sf \: A : B : C

 \boxed \maltese \: \sf \red{ New \: Ratio }= \dfrac{11}{35} : \dfrac{9}{35} : \dfrac{15}{35}
