C's share of profits = 1/4 = 5/20

As C brings in Rs. 15,000, total capital of the firm will be :

15,000 × 4/1 = 60,000

The capital of new partner is taken as base, so as to find the total capital, total capital is calculated as above]

So,

A's share = 60,000 × 9/20 = Rs. 27,000

B's share = 60,000 × 6/20 = Rs. 18,000

Hence, the required amount of capitals of A and B are Rs. 27,000 and Rs. 18,000 respectively.
