the no of days taken by B be y

1/x+1/y=1/12------------(i)

1/y=1/20----------(ii)

Putting value of (ii) in equation (i), we get

1/x + 1/20 =1/12

1/x = 1/12-1/20

1/x = 5-3/60

1/x = 2/60

1/x = 1/30

x = 30

Therefore, A will take 30 days to do the same work.
