Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume A did ‘a' work per day and B did ‘b' work per day.

Let us assume the total work be 30.( we can assume any number be total work)

Therefore the work completed by A and B together in a day is 30/6=5 i.e. a+b=5 a=5-b

It is given that A take 5 days less than B while working alone.

(30/b)-(30/a)=5

1/b-1/a=1/6

a-b=ab/6

6(a-b)=ab

6(5–2b)=5b-b^2

b^2–17b+30=0

(b-15)(b-2)=0

b=2

Since a+b=5 and a can not be negative.

Hence B can do 2 work pef day.

Therefore B alone can finish the total work of 30 in 30/2 =15 days.

A & B working together do work in 6 days.

A takes 5 days less than B.

Let B takes x

⇒A=x−5

     x1+x−51=61

   x2−5xx−5+x=61

    12x−30=x2−5x

     x2−17x+30=0

     x2−15x−2x+30=0

     x(x−15)−2(x−15)=0

     (x−2)(x−15)=0

⇒x=2  or  x=15

As, x<5     so x=15

then A=10 days &B=15 days

Hence, the answer is 10,15days
