A's one day work = 1/9

A+B one day work = 1/6

Therefore 1/9+B one day work=1/6

B one day work = 1/6-1/9=1/18

Therfore B alone canfinish the work in 18 dys

Answer:

18 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, a alone do the work in 9 days,

So, the one day work of A = \frac{1}{9}

Also, both a and b do the work in 6 days,

⇒ The combined one day work of a and b = \frac{1}{6}

Thus, the one day work of b = The one day work of both a and b - One day work of a

=\frac{1}{6}-\frac{1}{9}

=\frac{3-2}{18}

=\frac{1}{18}

Hence, the time taken by b alone = \frac{1}{\text{ His one day work}}

=\frac{1}{1/18}

=18\text{ days}
