Girl child education
In many places, girl child is treated as a burden rather than a gift. Whenever a girl child is born, they used to greet by saying,"finally, you have got a slave".
It is such a shame that parents prefer to educate the male child rather than the female. They see their boy child as responsibility and girl child as a bother. They think that boy will bring prosperity to the home and girls will bring bad luck. Therefore, they used to make taboos such as, if a girl is educated her husband will die and other things.
Some people think that a women need not be educated. They think that she is needed to run the house. Yes, she is needed to run the house because the men will be working and has to feed the family. And that is because men can't look after homes like women look after homes and work at the same time. But just because some women prefer being at home rather than work does not mean that they should be degraded and disrespected and treated as an uneducated person.
Because education does not come from only books and teachers. Education comes from learning from our mistakes and also other's mistakes.
And women have plenty of knowledge about the surroundings and livelihood where men dont have it.
We need to educate women to get them respect? They deserve a lot of respect, even more than men. So why should we educate women?
We need to educate women to remove/eradicate the illusion of women being incapable or impotent.
Let us respect everyone because its not a choice to be born as a male or a female.
Thank you!
Hope it helps!
