Answers
Answer:
Okhh I will try to give all answers.
Explanation:
10.Write three differences between the two principal vascular tissues found in plants.
Ans: XYLEM and PHLOEM are the two principal vascular tissues in in plants.
- xylem helps to transport water in plant bodies where as phloem helps in transportation of food.
- xylem help in transportation which is only up words. Slime help in transportation which is both in upward and downward
- most of xylem tissue is non-living but most of phloem tissues are living.
11. Mention the main characteristic features of meristematic tissues, and state where we find such tissues in plants. Give the function of the meristematic tissue.
Ans:
- Meristematic tissue has a number of defining features, including small cells, thin cell walls, large cell nuclei, absent or small vacuoles, and no intercellular spaces. The apical meristem (the growing tip) functions to trigger the growth of new cells in young seedlings at the tips of roots and shoots and forming buds.
- Meristematic tissues are found in root shoot tips vascular and cork cambium internode steam regionsbetween the places at which leaves attach, and leaf bases, especially of certain monocotyledons—e.g., grasses.
- Primary meristematic tissue helps the plant increase in length or vertical growth, meaning it helps the plant grow up toward the sun and down into the soil. Secondary meristematic tissue helps the plant increase the girth or lateral growth of its stems, branches, and roots.
12. Name the plant tissue which helps in the movement of water and minerals in the body. What are the various types of cells present in this tissue ?
Ans:
- The plant tissue which help in the movement of water and minerals in the body is xylem.
- The cells which we can find in in xylem tissue is tracheid, trachea, xylem fibre and xylem parenchyma.
13. Which plant tissue is responsible for the distribution of food prepared in the leaves ? Name the four component parts of this tissue.
Ans:
- The phloem named plant tissue is responsible for the distribution of food prepared in the leaves.
- The cells found in in phloem tissue is sieve tube, companion cell, phloem fibres and phloem parenchyma.
14. Name the various types of animal tissues and state their functions.
Ans: Main types of animal tissues are
- Epithelial tissue :The main functions of epithelia are protection from the environment, coverage, secretion and excretion, absorption, and filtration.
- Connective tissue :Major functions of connective tissue include: 1) binding and supporting, 2) protecting, 3) insulating, 4) storing reserve fuel, and 5) transporting substances within the body. Connective tissues can have various levels of vascularity. Cartilage is avascular, while dense connective tissue is poorly vascularized
- Muscle tissue :Muscles are the only tissue in the body that has the ability to contract and therefore move the other parts of the body. Related to the function of movement is the muscular system's second function: the maintenance of posture and body
- Nervous tissue :Integration and communication are the two major functions of nervous tissue. Nervous tissue contains two categories of cells — neurons and neuroglia. Neurons are highly specialized nerve cells that generate and conduct nerve impulses.
15. Give the structure and function of different types of epithelial tissues.
Ans:
Please check attachment.
16. Draw the diagram of a neuron and label the following parts in it.
Ans: please check the attachment.
17. Name the three main kinds of muscular tissues. Give the exact location of each kind in an animal body.
Ans: Three main kinds of muscular tissues are
- Cardiac : it is mainly found in heart of animal
- Smooth : They are found in the walls of hollow organs, including the stomach, intestines, urinary bladder and uterus, and in the walls of passageways, such as the arteries and veins of the circulatory system, and the tracts of the respiratory, urinary, and reproductive systems.
- Skeletal: This type of muscle tissues are attached with all types of bones.
