Answer:

a+b = -2√3 ....(1)

ab = -9 .......(2)

from ...(1)

a = -2√3 - b

put this in ....(2)

(-2√3 - b ) (b) = -9

2√3b + b² = 9

b² + 2√3b -9 = 0

b² + 2√3b + (√3)² = 9 + (√3)²

(b + √3)² = 9 + 3 = 12

b + √3 = ±√12

b + √3 = + 2√3. or. b + √3 = -2√3

b = 2√3 - √3. or b = -2√3 - √3

b = √3(2-1). or b = -3√3

b = √3. or b = -3√3

hope this will help you
