(a-b)^2=(a-b)(a+b) but how (a-b)^2=(a-b)(a-b)​

(a-b)² = ( a - b ) ( a + b )

but as in the question ,

(a- b )² is not equal to ( a-b ) (a- b)

if we solve the first one ,

(a-b) (a+b)

+ab - ab +

= -

But (a-b) (a-b) = (a-b)²

and we know (a-b)² = - 2ab +

Hence , (a-b)² is not equal to (a-b) (a-b)
