Q.(a+b)^2 - (a^2-b^2)

=(a+b)(a+b) - (a+b) (a-b) (using Identity)

=a+b[(a+b)-(a-b)] (distributive law)

=a+b[2b]

=2ab + 2b^2

So, your answer is 2ab +2b^2.

 {(a + b)}^{2} - {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} \\ we \: know \: that \\ \\ {(a + b)}^{2} = {a}^{2} + 2ab + {b}^{2} \\ \\according \: to \: the \: question \\ \\ {(a + b)}^{2} - {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} \\ \\ = {a}^{2} + 2ab + {b}^{2} - {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} \\ \\ = 2 {b}^{2} + 2ab \\ \\ = 2b(b + a) \\ \\ or \: we \: can \: do \\ \\ {(a + b)}^{2} = (a + b)(a + b) \\ \\ {a}^{2} - {b}^{2} = (a + b)(a - b) \\ according \: to \: the \: question \\ \\ {(a + b)}^{2} - {a}^{2} + {b}^{2} \\ \\ = (a + b)(a + b) - ( {a}^{2} - {b}^{2} ) \\ \\ = (a + b)(a + b) - (a + b)(a - b) \\ \\ here \: (a + b)is \: common \: to \: all\\ \\ = (a + b)(a + b - (a - b)) \\ \\ = (a + b)(a + b - a + b) \\ \\ = (a + b)2b

the answer is

2b(a+ b) / ( a+ b)2b
