Q.(a+b)^2 - (a^2-b^2)
=(a+b)(a+b) - (a+b) (a-b) (using Identity)
=a+b[(a+b)-(a-b)] (distributive law)
=a+b[2b]
=2ab + 2b^2
So, your answer is 2ab +2b^2.
