Here we are given an expression a + b - 5c

Also, the values of a,b and c are given

a = 4, b = 5 , c = 2

We will put these values in the expression given

a + b - 5c = 4 + 5 - 5(2)

                = 9 - 10

                = -1

Hence, the value of the expression  a + b - 5c will be -1

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

              Given data:-  a=4,b=5 \ and\ c=2.

              To find:- Value of given expression.

              Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow the BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

       where,

       B= bracket

       O= order of power or rules

       D= division

       M= multiplication

       A= addition

       S= subtraction

         Therefore,

         a+b-5c\\=4+5-5(2)\\=4+5-10\\=9-10\\=-1.

      Hence we will get the value -1.
