Answer:

➡ a + b = 6

➡ a = 6 - b

Put value of a in a - b = 4

➡ (6 - b) - b = 4

➡ 6 -b - b = 4

➡ 6 - 2b = 4

➡ - 2b = 4 - 6

➡ - 2b = - 2

➡ b = 1

put b = 1 in a + b = 6

➡ a + 1 = 6

➡ a = 5
