A + B = 60

A = 60 - B _____(1)

substituting A = 60 - B in eq. (1) .

A - B = 45

60 - B - B = 45

- 2 B = - 15

B = 15/2 = 7.5 ______(2)

from (1) ,

A + B = 60

A = 60 - 7.5

A = 52.5

therefore,

A = 52.5

and

B = 7.5
