Solution :-

given here

a+b= 7. ...(1)

ab= 10. ..(3)

we know ,

(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

so,

put value by (1) and (2)

we get,

(7)²=a²+b²+2×10

=>a²+b²= 49-20

=>a²+b²= 29
