Answer:

If  (x_1,y_1) and  (x_2,y_2) are two point, then their mid point is :

( \frac{ x_1 + x_2}{2}   \: , \: \frac{y_1 +y_2 }{2} )

Now,

(a,b) and (a+2b,2a-b) are two point, then their mid point is :

( \frac{a + a + 2b}{2} \:  , \:  \frac{b + 2a - b}{2} ) \\  = ( \frac{2a + 2b}{2}  \: , \:  \frac{2a}{2} ) \\  = (a + b \: , \: a)
