A, B and C are 3 element which undergo chemical changes according to the following equations. 1] A2O3+ 2B = B2O3 + 2A. 2] 3CSO4 +2B= B2(SO4)3 + 3C. 3] 3CO+ 2A = A2O3 + 3C. A] Which of these is most reactive . B] Which of these is least reactive. C] Arrange these elements in the order of the increasing reactive.

Answer:

Explanation:

1) A₂O₃ + 2B   ======>  B₂O₃ + 2A

Here , B displaced A

So in reactivity B  > A

2) 3CSO₄ + 2B  ======> B₂(SO4)₃ + 3C

Here , B also displaced C

So in reactivity B  > C

3) 3CO + 2A  ======>  A₂O₃ + 3C

Here , A displaced C

So in reactivity A  > C

∴ B > A > C

  • [A]  B is  most reactive
  • [B}  C is least reactive
  • [C]  C < A < B
