Given:

Ratio of partners = 5:3:2.

B's salary = Rs. 17000

Firm's profit = Rs. 97,000.

To Find :

Total amount that will be received by B from the firm

Solution:

Profit before b's salary = 97,000.

After salary the profit will be -

= 97,000 - 17,000

= 80,000

B's share = 3/8

= (3/(5 + 3 + 2)) × 80,000

= 24,000

Total salary received by B

= 24,000 + 17,000

= 41,000

Answer: The total amount received by B is Rs. 41,000
