A, B and C are three elements which undergo chemical reactions according to the following equations.
A2O3 + 2 B → B2O3 + 2 A3 CSO4 + 2 B →B2 (SO4)3 + 3C.3 CO + 2 A →A2O3 +3 C.Answer the following questions.(a) Which element is the most reactive ?(b) Which element is the least reactive ?(c) Arrange A, B, and C in the form of reactivity series.

heya it's Aastha...
Element B displaces A and C from their compounds in reaction 1 and 2 respectively.And element A displaces element C in reaction 3.Therefore,a) B is the most reactive elementb) C is the least reactive element.c) Reactivity series,B most reactiveAC least reactive

I hope it help you

Heya Friend !!!

Here's ur answer :-

As we know that

In displacement reaction the more reactive metal displaces the less reactive metal in a given chemical reaction!!

Here,

=> A2O3 + 2B ----> B2O3 + 2A3

B displace A

so,
B is more reactive than A ..... ( i )

=> CSO4 + 2B ----> B2 ( SO4 )3 + 3C

B displace C

So,
B is more reactive than C ....... ( ii )

=> 3CO + 2A ----> A2O3 + 3C

A displace C

So,
A is more reactive than C ...... ( iii )

Ans :-

a )

From ( i ) & ( ii )

Element B is more reactive metal .

b )

From ( i ) , ( ii ) and ( iii )

Element C is least reactive metal .

c )

From ( i ) , ( ii ) and ( iii )

Element B > Element A > Element C
