A can do a piece of work in 24days
so, in 1day A can do the 1/24 part of that work
B can do the work in 6days
so, in 1day B can do 1/6 part of that work
C can do the work in 12days
so, in 1day C can do 1/12 part of that work
therefore if all three work together..
then in one day they can do:--
1/24 + 1/6 + 1/12 = 7/24 of that work
so it would take 24/7 days to finish the work
so , working together it would take 24/7 days days to finish the work..which is 3.42857143days
