Correct Question :-

A B and C can do a piece of work in 10 days A alone can do it in 40 days and B alone can do it in 30 days In how many days will C alone do the same work

Answer :-

C alone can do the same work in 24 days.

Solution :-

A , B and C can do a work in 10 days

So, A, B, C one day work = 1/10

A can do the same work in 40 days

So A's one day work = 1/40

B can can do the same work in 30 days

So B's one day work = 1/3

We know that

C's one day work = A,B, C one day work - A's one day work - B's one day work

= 1/10 - 1/40 - 1/30

Taking LCM

= (12 - 3 - 4)/120

= (12 - 7)/120

= 5/120

= 1/24

i.e, C's one day work = 1/24

So C alone can do the same work in 24 days.

AnswEr :

 \red{ \large \boxed{ \bold{C~alone~can~do~in~24~Days</p><p>}}}

Explanation :

Given :

• (A + B + C) Can Do a Work in 10 Days.

• A alone Can Do that Work in 40 Days.

• B alone Can Do that Work in 30 Days.

To Find :

• In How Many Days C Alone Can Do that Work.

Solution :

➟ (A + B + C) Can Do Work = 10 Days

(A + B + C)'s 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{</strong><strong>1</strong><strong>}{</strong><strong>1</strong><strong>0</strong><strong>}}

➟ A Can Alone Do Work = 40 Days

➟ A's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{1}{</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>0}}

➟ B Can Alone Do Work = 30 Days

B's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{1}{</strong><strong>3</strong><strong>0}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

➟ C's 1 Day Work = (A + B + C)'s 1 Day Work - [ A's 1 Day Work + B's One Day Work ]

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{1}{10}} - (\large\tt{\frac{1}{40}} + \large\tt{\frac{1}{30}})

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{1}{10}} - \large\tt{\frac{1}{40}} - \large\tt{\frac{1}{30}}

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{(1\times12)-(1\times3)-(1\times4)}{120}}

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{12-3-4}{120}}

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{5}{120}}

➟ C's 1 Day Work = \large\tt{\frac{1}{24}}

 \therefore C alone Can Do that Work in 24 Days.
