Total time taken to complete the work = \frac{9}{2} days.

Explnation :-

A can do a piece of work in 6 days

So A can complete \frac{1}{6} work in a day

B can do a piece of work in 8 days

So B can complete \frac{1}{8} work in a day

C can do a piece of work in 12 days

So C can complete \frac{1}{12} work in a day

Total work will be LCM(6, 8, 24) = 24 in a day

B and C can complete 7 in a day

So B and C can complete 14 in 2 day

Remaining work will be 24 - 14 = 10

A can complete 10 work in \frac{5}{2} days

So the total time taken to complete the work  2 + \frac{5}{2} = \frac{9}{2}
