Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
A = 15days, B = 20 days, C= 30 days
=> work rate of A, B and C is
A = 1/15
B = 1/20
C = 1/30
=> Suppose, C received Rs. x
B = Rs. (x + 6000)
C = Rs. (x + 6000)
=> They work together for some time and Rs.18000 is paid for their work therefore,
A+B+C = 18000
(x + 6000) + (x + 6000) + x = 18000
3x + 12000 = 18000
3x = 18000 - 12000
3x = 6000
x = 2000
Thus, C received Rs. 2000, B received Rs. 8000 ( 2000 + 6000 ) and C also received Rs. 8000.
Now, Pay ratio : A:B:C = 8000 : 8000 : 2000
∴ A:B:C = 8:8:2
=> = 8/15 + 8/20 + 2/30
=32 / 60 + 24 / 60 + 4 / 60
= 60/60
= 1
∴ A = 8 / 15 days
∴ A = 8 days
Thus, A did work for 8 days.
