The sum of the profit of b and c = RS 10920

To find:

The sum of the profit of b and c = ?

Given data:

a = RS 1600

b = RS 3600

c = RS 4800

a is a working partner and gets a one fifth of the total profit = \frac{1}{5} X 100 %

                                                                                                   = 20 %

a's overall profit = RS 5330

Solution:

  a        b         c

1600  3600  4800

  4         9        12

to find the a's profit percentage

= \frac{4}{25} X 80 % + 20 %

= 4 X 3.2 % + 20 %

= 12.8 % + 20 %

= 32.8 %

then b + c = 100 % - 32.8 %

                = 67.2 %

if 32.8 % = RS 5330, then 67.2 % will be

                = \frac{ 5330 X 67.2 }{ 32.8 }

                = RS 10920
