Given :- A,B and C enter into a partnership with capitals in the ratio 8:6:4. After 4 months, A leaves the business and

after 4 more months B also leaves the business and C continues till the end of the year. If C takes 20% of the profit for managing the business, then what part of the profit does C get ?

Solution :-

Let capitals of A , B and C are Rs.8x , Rs.6x and Rs.4x respectively .

so,

→ Profit A : Profit B : Profit C = (8x * 4) : (6x * 8) : (4x * 12) = 8x : 12x : 12x = 2 : 3 : 3

Let profit A, B and C is = 20 : 30 : 30

Now, since, C takes 20% for managing the business .

then,

→ C gets for managing the business = 20% of total profit = (20 * 80)/100 = 16 .

therefore,

→ Left profit = 80 - 16 = 64 .

now,

→ In left profit C gets = 64 * (30/80) = 24 .

hence,

→ Total part of the profit C gets = (24 + 20)/80 = (44/80) = (11/20) part (Ans.)
