Answer:

Total amount of profit = 1000

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume the profit obtained in total is P.

Profit of A = 3/5 of P , which leaves 2/5 of P for B and C to share.

This 2/5 * P is divided equally among B and C so each gets a profit of

2/5 * 1/2 * P = 1/5 of P

So Profit  of A =3/5 * P

    Profit of B = 1/5 *P

     Profit of C =1/5* P

  Given ,

       Profit of C +400 = Profit of A

        (Since if C got 400 more profit of C and A would be equal)

      1/5*P +400=3/5*P

       400= 2/5 *P

which gives P =1000
