A, B and C started a business with a total  investment of Rs.72000. Share of A in profit is Rs 3240.

Solution:

Given that total investment of A, B and C is Rs 72000.

We will first find percentage of A in investment.

Let’s say amount invested by A = x.

As A invested Rs 6000 more than B

So Amount invested by B = x – 6000

Also B invest Rs 3000 less than C.

So investment of C = (x – 6000) + 3000 = x – 3000

So (x) + (x – 6000) + (x – 3000) = Rs 72000

=> 3x – 9000 = 72000

=> 3x = 72000 + 9000 = 81000

=> x = 27000

So share of A is Rs 27000

In %, share of A is:

\frac{27000}{72000} \times 100 = \frac{300}{8} =37.5

So share of A in profit = 37.5%  of total profit = \frac{37.5}{100} \times 8640 = 3240

Hence share of A in profit is Rs 3240.
