A alone can do it in 20 days

In 1 day, A can do = 1/20 of the work

A and B can do it in 14 days

So in 1 day, A and B can do = 1/14 of the work

in 1 day, B alone can do = 1/14 - 1/20 = (10-7)/140 = 3/140 of the work

So in 1 day, A, B, and C together can do = 1/8 of the work

To find how much A and C can do in 1 day, subtract B's one day work.

So A and C can do in 1 day = 1/8 - 3/140 = (1×35 - 3×2)/280 = (35-6)/280 = 29/280

To complete it, A and C need = 280/29 days ≈ 9.65 days
