To find:

The daily earning of C.

Solution:

As given in the question:

(A + B + C) → together earn → Rs. 1350 → in 9 days

So, In 1-day, (A + B + C)'s earning will be → \frac{1350}{9} = Rs. \:150 . . .  (1)

(A + C) → together earn → Rs. 470 → in 5 days

So, In 1-day, (A + C)'s earning will be → \frac{470}{5} = Rs. \:94 . . . (2)

(B + C) → together earn → Rs. 760 → in 10 days

So, In 1-day, (B + C)'s earning will be → \frac{760}{10} = Rs. \:76 . . . (3)

On subtracting equation (2) from (1), we get

[(A + B + C)'s 1-day earning] - [(A + C)'s 1-day earning] = 150 - 94

⇒ B's 1 -day earning = Rs. 56 . . . (4)

On subtracting equation (4) from (3), we get

[(B + C)'s 1-day earning] - [B's 1 -day earning] = 76 - 56

C's 1-day earning = Rs. 20  ← option (a)

Thus, the daily earning of C is → Rs. 20.
