A, b and c working together completed a job in 10 days. However, c only worked for the first three days when 37/100 of the job was done. Also, the work done by a in 5 days is equal to the work done by b in 4 days. How many days would be required by the fastest worker to complete the entire work?

Hey mate,

This question is concerned about efficiency of workers.

# Answer- Fastest worker(B) will complete job in 20 days.

# Solution-

Consider a, b, c be the efficiencies of workers A, B, C to complete the task respectively.

Now given conditions,

3(a+b+c)=37% ...(1)

7(a+b)=63% ...(2)

5a=4b ...(3)

Solving (1),(2)&(3), we get

a = 4%

b = 5%

c = 3.33%

Clearly B is the fastest among three.

Number of days required for him to complete the job = 1/efficiency = 1/b = 1/5% = 20 days.

Fastest worker(B) will complete job in 20 days alone.

Hope this is useful.
