A,B and p are 3 coliner points on plane. lenght of AP is 2 more than lenght of PB. length of AB is 10m. if triangle ABP is right triangle, prove it by quadratic equations discriminant formula and find the length of AP and PB?​

WE ALSO KNOW, AP= HYPOTENUSE

AND WE KNOW,AB=10

GIVEN ABP IS RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE MEANS,

SO, AP^2=AB^2+BP^2

=(BP+2)^2=10^2+BP^2

= BP^2+4+4BP=100+BP^2

SO, 4BP=96

  • SHIFT 4 TO L.H.S

BP=96/4

THEREFORE, BP=24

THUS,ABP IS A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE

WITH AP=26M , BP=24M
