A and B are any two non-empty sets and if n(A)=n(B), then A=B is not always true.

  • Example 1 :

Let A and B be two sets such that A = {a,b,c} and B = {d,e,f}

Therefore, n(A)=3 and n(B)=3.

n(A) denotes the number of elements in the set A.

But , A ≠ B.

  • Example 2 :

Let A and B be two sets such that A = {a,b,c} and B = {a,b,c}

Therefore, n(A)=3 and n(B)=3.

n(A) denotes the number of elements in the set A.

But , A = B.

  • Therefore, if n(A) = n(B) then A=B is not always true.
