Answer:

(x+y+z) ² = x²+y²+z²+2xy+2yz+2xz

And, (x–y+z) ² =x²+y²+z²-2xy–2yz+2xz

Here, x = a, y=b, z=c

(a+b+c) ²+(a-b+c) ²

={(a) ²+(b) ²+(c)²+2(a)(b)+2(a)(c)+2(b)(c)} +

{(a)²+(-b)²+(c) ²+2(a)(-b) +2(a)(c)+2(-b)(c)}

={2a²+2b²+2c²+2ab-2ab+4ac+2bc-2bc}

=2a²+2b²+2c²+4ac
