Answer:
1525
Step wise explanation :-
let the amount divided among them be "x".
Month 1 :-
- It is divided in the ratio 2x : 3x : 4x : 7x ,then the total of the ratio is 16x.
- i.e. 2x + 3x + 4x + 7x = 16x.
- It is given that the first month's commission was 3200. Then,
- 16x = 3200
- x = 3200/16
- x = 200
substitute the value of "x" from the 1st month's ratio
Month 2 :-
- Ratio :- 3:4:5:4
- But commission was doubled
- Hence,3x + 4x + 5x + 4x = 6400
- 16x = 6400
- x = 6400/16
- x = 400
substitute x from the ratio, it will be same.
Month 3 :-
- commission tripled and ratio was 4:7:3:2
- 4x + 7x + 3x +2x = 9600
- 16x = 9600
- x = 9600/16
- x = 600
Month 4 :-
- commission halved than previous month,so new commission is 9600/2 = 4800
- Ratio = 4:3:5:4
- 4x + 3x + 5x + 4x = 4800
- 16x = 4800
- x = 4800/16
- x = 300
Now,let's calculate the average of C over the period :-
- C = month 1+2+3+4/4
- C = 800+2000+1800+1500/4
- C = 6100/4
- C = 1525
Hope it helps
