Since, a/b = c/d

=> (ma / mb) = ( nc/nd)

=> (ma / nc ) = ( mb/ nd)

=> (ma/nc) +1 = ( mb/ nd) + 1

=> (ma + nc) / nc = (mb + nd) / nd

=> (ma + nc ) / ( mb + nd) = nc / nd

=> ( ma + nc) / ( mb + nd) = c/d














Second Method:




a:b=c:d

or a/b=c/d………….(1)

or m.a/m.b=nc/nd

or ma/nc=mb/nd , on adding 1 both side

ma/nc + 1 = mb/nd + 1

or (ma+nc)/nc=(mb+nd)/nd

or (ma+nc)/(mb+nd) =nc/nd = c/d ,

Also c/d=a/b from eq.(1)

Therefore (ma+nc)/(mb+nd) = c/d = a /b , Answer.
