a + b + c = 9

on squaring on both sides

( a + b + c ) = 81

a ^ 2 + b ^ 2 + c ^ 2 + 2 ( ab + bc + ca ) = 81

a ^ 2 + b ^ 2 + c ^ 2 + 2 ( 26 ) = 81

a ^ 2 + b ^ 2 + c ^ 2 = 81 - 52

therefore a ^ 2 + b ^ 2 + c ^ 2 = 29

a+b+c=9
ab+bc+ca=26
asquare+bsquare+csquare=?
we know that
(a+b+c)square=asquare+bsquqre+csquare+2ab+2bc+2ca
now put the values
9square=asquare+bsquare+csquare+2(26)
81=asquare+bsquare+csquare+52
81-52=asquare+bsquare+csquare
29=asquare+bsquare+csquare
Hope it helps you....
