JobA can complete the work alone in 36 days.

B is 33.33% more efficient than A

B can finish the work alone in 27 days.

Both can do 1/36 + 1/27= 7/108 of the work in 2 days.

So when they do on alternate days in 30 days they will do 15(7/108) = 105/108 of the work and 3/108 = 1/36 is still left over. And since A started the work and his capacity is 1/36 of the work, he will finish the remaining work in 1 day.

Hence the total number of days taken by A and B to do the work when they do on alternate days with A starting the work is 30+1 =31 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

$\square^{A} \square^{N} \square^{S} \square^{W} \square^{E} \square^{R}$

A and B together can complete a piece of work in 12 days, B and C together can complete a piece of work in 16 days, A and C together can complete a piece of work in 24 days. Find the number of days in which A, B and C together can complete the work.
