a+b equals 28 a minus b equals to 10 find a square plus b square

Okay so let's solve this one 
we have a + b =28
a - b =10
we need to find a^{2} + b^{2} 

so find let's find a and b respectively
when we add both the equations we get a and when we take the difference we get b, did you notice? 

After finding the individual values we can easily find the desired answer :)
